Golf: Thomas wins in Tulsa
5 years after its premiere, US golf pro Justin Thomas won the PGA Championship in Tulsa (Oklahoma) for the second time after a turbulent final round. He defeated compatriot Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff to secure victory in the $12 million 2nd Major event of the year. The former world No. 1 from Kentucky has now won 15 tournaments on the American circuit.
Basketball: Warriors are missing a win
The Golden State Warriors are looking forward to the finals series in the NBA. The Californians won 109-100 at the Dallas Mavericks and lead 3-0 in the best-of-7 semifinal series. Stephen Curry (31 points) and Andrew Wiggins (27) were the match winners. The Mavericks would make NBA history if they managed to turn things around. No team has ever won a playoff series from a 3-0 deficit.
