The Raabtal Juniors and the BVZ athletes’ choice? It’s been a really good fit for years. Again and again in the Jennersdorf district, members of the SpG determine the popular voting in the various categories. This year, too, the youngsters took the title.
With a strong 1,639 votes, the competition didn’t stand a chance. Of course, because almost 80 children are currently using the wide range of activities in the play community. Football is clearly the undisputed number one, but according to youth director Philipp Kohl, “judo sports, volleyball or basketball” are also very popular with young athletes from the south of the country.
Not just football, but a wide range of sports
“It’s important to us that it’s not just football. We want to offer a wide range and the focus is clearly on sport,” continued Kohl, who accepted the congratulations on his behalf: “Of course we are very happy. Our work is simply appreciated as a result.” Addendum: “The fact that there are so many votes again also shows that our path with the gaming community is the right one.”
The entire operation has not always been easy in recent years. The UFC Jennersdorf, the ASV St. Martin/Raab, the FC Minihof-Liebau, the SV Mühlgraben and the USV Neuhaus are not always one in the first team football as derby competitors, but when it comes to the future and a regulated training and game operation works, just fine.
“Meanwhile it all works very, very well. All officials, trainers and also the children make a big contribution and work well together”, the current SpG Wallendorf-Mogersdorf trainer Kohl analyzed the status quo. So you are an indispensable part in the south of Burgenland, which is a constant supplier of talent for the clubs in the region.
“It’s also about the children doing a sport with joy and fun. During the pandemic, we saw how important this is, especially for the youngest. We are an important part of the Raabtal.” One can only agree!
