31 countries confirm their presence at the meeting in Oran

ALGIERS- Thirty-one (31) countries have confirmed their participation in the 43rd edition of the African Judo Championships (seniors), scheduled for May 26-29 in Oran, the Algerian Judo Federation (FAJ) announced in a statement posted on its official Facebook page.

A total of 213 athletes will be present at this event, ie 117 men and 96 women, specifies the same source.

The Algerian national team will be represented by 18 judokas and judokas (9 men and 9 women).

In view of this continental meeting, the Algerian judo selection (men and women) carried out a joint internship with its French counterpart in France at the beginning of May.

The African meeting, which Algeria is hosting for the first time in almost two decades, will take place at the “Mohamed Benahmed” convention center in Oran.

It is registered in the program of experimental “test vents” competitions, in anticipation of the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games (JM), scheduled in the same city from June 25 to July 6, 2022.
