Left to try his luck in Mexico, with the Tigers, Florian Thauvin (29) left Olympique de Marseille at the end of his contract, last June. The Tigers winger could however have continued his adventure within the Marseille club.
“I was on the verge of extending. Pablo Longoria did everything and I thank him again. He would have deserved that I extend given his investment. But I had gone around Marseille. I should have been at 100 % in my head to stay at OM”, explained the French world champion for L’Equipe.
