NBA legend who will invest in hemp and cannabis in the country

The former basketball player is the president of the company “One World Products, INC” which is the largest hemp and cannabis producer fully licensed and controlled by Afro-descendant communities in Colombia.

According to Thomas, his interest in cannabis and hemp It started in the 1990s, when there was talk of naturally responding receptors in the human body that could treat some diseases.

“They began to look for natural products to treat certain diseases. In addition, hemp can be used to replace the use of plastic, for example in the car industry. A change is not only being sought in the body, but also in the environment”, said the NBA legend.

On the decision to choose Colombia as a place to continue expanding investment in the hemp and cannabis business, he indicated that he hopes to “one day crown the country as the green capital of the world.”

“We chose to ally with farmers to help, give them housing, a better opportunity for growth, I see in Colombia the green capital to ally us”, he indicated.

Finally, he assured that one of the reasons why he decided to bet on continuing his business in Colombia has to do with the land and the opportunities in the crops.

“In Colombia the land can change three times a year in the case of the industrial hempThat is why Colombia was chosen. Now the industries are asking for the carbon footprint to be reduced,” he added.
