It is not the first time that we have told you about the businesses – all unsuccessful, of course – of unfortunate, careless or bungled thieves. The man you see being hunted below only made one simple mistake: he thought he got away with it too soon.
It happened in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. The thief in question had managed to snatch the phone from a woman who was waiting for a taxi. He ran away and, when he was sure he had sown it, he began to walk calmly. A few minutes later he found himself on the ground. He didn’t know that the woman he had stolen his smartphone was a professional judoka. She reached him and pinned him in one move. He held him down until the police arrived. At that point she pushed him away in disgust as the crowd, which in the meantime had formed around her, applauded her. It was as if they had witnessed an action movie being shot, but it was all true.
