European Cups at the weekend with German participation

For women, Helena Grau from TSG Backnang, Sarah Herrmann from BC Greffern (both up to 48 kg), Jadzia Münch from BC Karlsruhe, Jana Ziegler from UJKC Potsdam (both up to 57 kg), Nadja Bazynski from TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen (up to 63 kg), Julie Hölterhoff from HTG Bad Homburg, Samira Bock from TSV Großhadern, Sarah Mäkelburg from SUA Witten (all up to 70 kg) and Lea Schmid from JZ Heubach (up to 78 kg) at the start.

The men’s participants are David Ickes from Budokan Lübeck, Martin Setz from UJKC Potsdam, Patrick Weisser from TuS Bad Aibling, Severin Edmeier from TSV Großhadern (all up to 66 kg), Jano Rübo from SSF Bonn, Yerrick Schriever from TH Eilbeck, Peter Thomas from JC Lauf, Kevin Abeltshauser from TSV Abensberg, Luc Meyer from JC Asahi Spremberg, Anthony Zingg from TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen (all up to 73 kg), Leon Schreder from Homburger TG (up to 81 kg), Markus Seifert from Samurai Offenbach ( up to 90 kg), George Udsilauri from TSV Erbach, Kilian Kappelmeier from TSV Großhadern (both up to 100 kg) and Daniel Udsilauri from TSV Erbach (over 100 kg).

On Saturday the women’s -48, -52, -57 and -63 kg and men’s -60, -66 and -73 kg fights will be held, on Sunday the classes -70, -78 and +78 kg will continue in women and -81, -90, -100 and +100 kg in men.

81 women and 162 men from 25 nations are registered for the European Cup in Dubrovnik.

The European Cups for the U18s in Strasbourg (France) and the U21s in Poznań (Poland) are also taking place with strong German participation.
