Club Brugge is preparing for the title fight. At 21 out of 21, they seem to be in form at the right time to challenge Union. At the same time, they are also working on next season at the board.
Vincent Mannaert and co. convinced of the 19-year-old Bjorn Meijer. A bid of four and a half million euros was brushed aside by FC Groningen. The top talent would also have set his sights on a transfer to Club and that is not appreciated by the Dutch supporters.
He apparently got a lot of fierce reactions on social media. His trainer Danny Buijs stood up for the youngster. “I hope if everyone uses their minds understand their wish,” quoted Football International† “I have great difficulty with the messages that Bjorn receives on social media. I do not wish him that.”
So the story between FC Groningen and Bjorn Meijer seems to be completely over. At Club Brugge they will of course be happy to hear it. The chance is even greater that we will see Meijer at work on the Belgian fields next season.
