On Saturday, Ostravský Baník started the superstructure group for the title at Prague’s Letná, where Sparta is home there. The match did not turn out according to the ideas of the fans of the Silesian team, they made it clear during the match what they think about the whole superstructure.
Baník Ostrava placed fifth in the basic part and comfortably qualified for the group that is competing for the league title in the superstructure. However, due to the unsuccessful spring part of the season, coach Ondřej Smetana was fired, and the team is more or less not playing for anything.
The Silesian team can dream that it will catch up with the fourth Slovácko region and fight for promotion to the Conference League in the autumn, but otherwise it is nothing. However, the fans are still behind their favorites.
In Saturday’s match on Sparta, they filled their sector more than solidly. As is traditional, they still present themselves with a successful chorus, with which they clearly expressed their opinion on the superstructure.
Superstructure in our meadows and groves is generally not very popular. And the fans of Baník, who placed the legendary “meme” from the cult film Pulp Fiction with John Travolta and the inscription: “Summer again? The end of the superstructure! ”
Public reaction
As already mentioned, the superstructure is still not recognized in the Czech Republic. On the contrary. Therefore, Baník’s choreo received mainly positive reactions.

The second opinion group believes that the problem is that Baník goes to the superstructure in the role of an outsider, he has nothing to play for and thus the mood of the fans and the interest in the matches in general.

The Ostrava team has been fantastic for a long time, regardless of the results. Definitely one of the best, if not the best in the whole Czech Republic.
