Andoain: The judoka Ekaitz Goñi, champion of the Basque Country in the cadet category

Last weekend, Andoaindarra judoka Ekaitz Goñi Márquiz added a new triumph to his sports resume by proclaiming himself champion of the Basque Country in the cadet category of less than 66 kilos.

Goñi competed in this championship held at the Arriaga sports center in Vitoria-Gasteiz and added to this title of champion his classification to compete in the next Spanish Championship.

In the same weight, Ander Galindo García achieved a meritorious fifth place in the cadet category, in which he will remain one more year.

On the other hand, in the female children’s category, Mara Sánchez Ascunce and Aroa Galindo García won the bronze medal in less than 52 kilos, and Irune Redondo Moreno closed his participation in this Euskadi Championship with a third place and the corresponding bronze medal.
