Náutico found his first victory in the tournament

Gustavo Móndolo’s men comfortably beat Temperley 82-96, in what was his first smile of the season. Stegmayer was key on the board for the visiting victory with 31 points.

From the beginning, the visiting approach was based on building from defense. Repeated successful and lost defenses by Negro generated a significant number of lethal counterattacks, finished by Stegmayer and Nicolás Giraudo, which allowed the scoreboard to be stretched early. On the contrary, Marcelo Roig’s men were unable to gain a foothold in the match, and with several holes in their own hoop, Ottolini’s good deeds were overshadowed. The first ten minutes of the visit were 13-25.

Next, the locals recovered from López’s three-point shots and Lussenhoff’s penetrations, to raise the score and balance the already large difference. In any case, the inattentions did not allow to turn the circumstance. The visit knew how to keep pace with the explosiveness of the Giraudo brothers and the hot hand of Stegmayer. The numerical margin stagnated, without resulting in discomfort for the visit, which went to rest above. Both teams went to the locker room 38-48.

In the continuity of the night, Náutico devastated. With effective bursts, and as a result of good defenses, he maintained a difference of more than 15 units. Both Giraudo, Sosa and Stegmayer swelled their individual numbers from all spaces. Temperley, for his part, failed to meet again. Although both Lussenhoff and Ottolini were the recurring scoring tools, the course of the match did not change. Morale was not up and from the defense it was an obvious issue. For this, the teams entered the final stretch 51-80.

Finally, Náutico Sportivo Avellaneda overwhelmed Negro de la Sexta. With a convincing Stegmayer, with 31 points, those from the riverside sealed a comfortable 82-96, which gave them the first smile of the Federal campaign. From the local team, which has three consecutive losses, Andrés Ottolini was the top scorer with 22 points.
