“Ja Morant won’t last, like Rose and Westbrook”

With his latest outburst to 52 points, Ja Morant is garnering some of the league’s longest-seen attention. An analyst, however, prefers to warn observers, saying that his possible reign over the NBA will not last long, like that of Derrick Rose or Russell Westbrook!

He had already marked the minds of the fans enough before the All-Star Game, to be selected hands down and play the famous meeting as a holder. Since then, instead of slacking off, he has produced even more astounding performances. Ja Morant continues to impress as the stars meet, and write Grizzlies history with explosive outings.

After planting 46 points on the floor of the Bulls, the young star point guard from Memphis scored 52 on the head of the Spurs. The whole, in an ultra-spectacular way, so as to be talked about like never before. His name is indeed on everyone’s lips in recent hours, with compliments to no longer know what to do with it. A media treatment which however worries some observers!

Ja Morant condemned to a career at D-Rose?

Like any player suddenly propelled to the top of the bill, Morant leads to his share of doubts as to his real ability to maintain an exceptional level over time. And unfortunately, according to Colin Cowherd, his game would simply prevent him from doing so. The famous journalist does not give much of Ja’s longevity, which he compares negatively to Derrick Rose Where Russell Westbrook !

All this excitement around Ja Morant… I know he’s very good. But I want to remind you, the fans and the media, that you have fallen into this trap five times in the past 12 years. It’s called the John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose phenomenon. Derrick Rose was on all Ja Morant plans before Ja Morant. He too has taken social networks and TV audiences by storm.

Called to dominate the league following his MVP title, Rose has obviously never been able to live up to these expectations. His game, too demanding on the physical level, ended up getting the better of him, and has today relegated him to the rank of second-class player. A course that would be precisely intended to follow Morant according to Cowherd.

I’m very skeptical about the long-term title chances of athletic backs who have jump and are the kings of drive-and-score. (…) These little guys who exhaust you, who penetrate to the basket and who are not very good shooters do not last.

At only 22 years old, Morant has so far never been let go of his body. However, for the analyst, over the distance, he will therefore necessarily have to develop a reliable shot if he wishes to shine throughout his career!

Star of the moment, Ja Morant could quickly become disillusioned if he keeps his current style of play according to Colin Cowherd. The examples of Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook are indeed enough to alert him!
