The diploma that confers the important honor, signed by President Mattarella, was delivered today in the Olympic Center of the Federation: “I receive it … at home with great honor”.
The Tokyo 2022 Olympic bronze medal in the 63 kg judo category, Maria Centracchio, wins another recognition as a worthy Italian sportswoman. The Isernina athlete, originally from Rocchetta a Volturno, was named Knight of the Republic.
The honor was conferred in October, but only today was the ceremony in the Federation.
To deliver the diploma of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella was the President of the Italian Federation of judo, wrestling, karate and martial arts, Domenico Falcone.
