The proximity services put in place by the Carabinieri of Ragusa continue with incisiveness, aimed at the prevention of crimes, with particular regard to crimes relating to the phenomenon of drug dealing, a problem that continues to be present in the area and for which there is always a lot of high attention of the weapon.
Over the course of last weekend, the soldiers of the Provincial Command of Ragusa carried out a search inside the home of a couple of Vittorio Veneto having become aware of a drug dealing activity that was consumed in that urban context.
Following the police activity, the Carabinieri, intervening with the colleagues of the Dog Nucleus of Nicolosi (CT) and of the “Hunters Helicopter Squadron of Sicily” stationed in Sigonella, found, inside the searched residence, over 40 grams of Marijuana, a few doses of Cocaine and a series of tools used for weighing and packaging the drug in doses as well as a sum of about € 350, as a presumable income from the sales activity. The search also made it possible to find, in the availability of the two tenants, a cal. 12 hunting side-by-side shotgun with abraded serial number and relative ammunition, and a scacciacani-type pistol without the red cap.
The Carabinieri of Ragusa then arrested the two victories residing in the house, a twenty-one-year-old young man and his thirty-year-old cohabitant, both unemployed, and seized all the material constituting proof of the crime. The GIP of Ragusa who validated the arrest, at the conclusion of the validation hearing, ordered the application of the precautionary measure of house arrest for the man and the release at liberty for the woman.
