Premier League – round 27 preview: Citizens enter Liverpool

Leeds United will welcome Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday’s 27th round of the Premier League. Both the Whites and the Londoners would like to forget about the last few weeks, because both teams have a failed February. Matches between Leeds and Tottenham usually bring a lot of goals, so Saturday’s duel can be at least interesting.

The home team, led by coach Marcel Bielsa, lost 0: 6 in Liverpool in Wednesday’s match, soaking into the rescue fights; he has only a three-point lead over the 18th Burnley, which has two more good matches. The Whites defense is the worst in the competition, surrendering fifty-six times this season. Even the last Norwich, who even has one extra match played, collected one goal less. Leeds last scored at home on Elland Road in early January, beating Burnley 3: 1.

Spurs fans aren’t funny either. Antonio Conte seems to be in trouble on the Tottenham bench. After Wednesday’s defeat, Burnley even questioned his ability to improve the situation in Tottenham. They have only been able to score once in the last five league matches, with an outdoor 3: 2 victory at Manchester City. In addition to losing to Burnley, Tottenham has recently lost to rivals from Chelsea, Southampton and Wolverhampton, with whom he is fighting to advance to the European Cups.

In the previous match, Tottenham rejoiced at the end of November, turning the game around in the second half. This was Conte’s first victory on the Spurs bench, replacing the Portuguese Nuna Espírita Santa.

The home team will miss the long-injured striker Patrick Bamford, Captain Liam Cooper, or the English national team member Kalvin Phillips. On the contrary, Diego Llorente, who did not finish the match against Liverpool, and Robin Koch, who suffered a head injury in the match against Manchester United, should be available. Antonio Conte cannot count on the January reinforcement of Rodrigo Bentancur, who alternated about the half-time break of the duel with Burnley. Sergio Reguilon, who last competed against Southampton in early February, could return to the squad.
