Amazon Reportedly Offered Rams Coach $100 Million to Become a TV Consultant

Winners of the Super Bowl a little over 10 days ago, the Los Angeles Rams are courted. In particular their coach, Sean McVay, who has just refused a huge offer from Amazon to become a consultant, according to the American press.

Just days after lifting the second title in franchise history at the end of an unbreathable Super Bowl, the Los Angeles Rams are already preparing for next season with one idea in mind: to sign a “back-to-back ” and keep their crown. Aaron Donald and Sean McVay were the first to call on him during the Parade of Champions. Enough to put a chill on Amazon’s attempt to poach the latter as a consultant, despite a big check on the table.

McVay rejects Amazon’s approach to becoming a consultant

Indeed, according to the American press, the e-commerce giant was to meet the Rams coach to offer him to become his next consultant for the NFL on his Prime Video service. A gold bridge was going to be proposed to McVay understands the New York Post, up to $100 million over five years. An offer which would have been rejected by the latter.

According to the ESPN journalist Adam Schefter, the coach of the neo-champions “would not be interested in any opportunity on television” and would indeed “help the Rams defend their title”.
