The Leisure and Sports Center will host this Sunday more than 150 judokas from all over Spain to participate in the XVI Spanish Junior Championship and Inmaculada Hernández Memorial 2022. The participants are young people born between 2002 and 2007

The origin of the judokas covers different communities such as Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia and Navarra. From Salamanca, the Doryoku, Navega, Santa Marta, Zarza and Villares de la Reina clubs will compete Alejandro Pérez, Iván Rodríguez and Estefanía López, as explained Vincent Zarza during the presentation.

What’s more, of the 150 athletes, there will be fifty technicians. The organization of this championship plans to start with the antigen tests on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If it is negative, they will be able to weigh-in and leave the facility until Sunday, the day of the competition.

The clashes will begin on Sunday at 9:30 am. The shifts will be based on the final number of entries and the medals will be awarded at the end of each of the categories.

The Councilor for Sports, Miryam Total, has expressed her satisfaction at hosting a championship of this type and at being able to return to a certain normality in terms of competitions, since there will be no public, although it can be followed on streaming.
