The Adelaide Picture Is Defined | ATP Tour

Gael Monfils will attempt to lift his 11th ATP Tour title next week at the Adelaide International 1, but will have potential rivals such as Karen Khachanov, Marin Cilic and Frances Tiafoe. The ATP 250 tournament begins on January 3.

Monfils, seeded first at the Memorial Drive Tennis Center, will face Juan Manuel Cerúndolo or Alex Bolt in his first match of the 2022 ATP Tour season. The charismatic Frenchman could face sixth seed Tommy Paul, champion of the Stockholm Open in November, or to #NextGenATP Lorenzo Musetti figure. Monfils beat the Italian in a tough duel in Vienna in October.

Second-seeded Khachanov, whose last title was the 2018 Rolex Paris Masters, will make his second-round debut against Steve Johnson or Aleksandar Vukic.
