Fernando Rivas from Granada announced this Tuesday that it is disassociating itself from the Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA), but will continue to train the Olympic champion Carolina Marín.
“The decision to leave the federation is motivated by a need for change, professionally and at work,” he explained in a statement on his Twitter account.
He thanked FESBA for all these years “of joint work” since it began in 2004.
The trainer of badminton remembered the “personal ties with people who will always be part of my life” and wished “the best possible future” to the current team that makes up FESBA.
“Our badminton he deserves it”, concluded Rivas, who confirmed that he will continue training Carolina Marín from Huelva.
