In two exciting days the activity of the Municipal Basketball Selective was developed, which was hosted by the University Sports Unit and from where the representatives of the state capital emerged towards the CONADE 2022 National Games.
The activity on this occasion was in the categories 2004-2005 and 2006-2007 in both branches, and where more than 20 teams divided into groups took part, where the teams with the best results advanced to the semifinals to later dispute the title. of the category.
In the grand final of the 2004-05 women’s category, the title went to APB Santos, while in the 2006-07 women’s category, Alianza was established as champion.
In the 2004-05 men’s category, the title went to Fox’s “A” team, who also took the title in the 2006-07 category.
It should be noted that prior to the conventional 5X5 basketball day, the municipal stage in 3X3 basketball was played, where the female champions were Alianza, in the 2004-05 category and Alianza Negro, in 2006-07.
In the men’s branch, category 2004-05, the champion was the Tigres team, while in 2006-07, Tigres also rose as champion, with a team from the category.
It is important to point out that, in accordance with what was agreed in the previous meeting, the champion teams may be reinforced with the best players from the teams that participated in the municipal selection, thereby seeking representatives of greater competitiveness, facing the state phase towards CONADE 2022 National Games.
