The first day of the Judo All-Japan Student Weight Group Championship, which competes in the 7th class, was held at the Baycom Gymnasium in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture on the 8th. Kokushikan University and others aiming for the first victory advanced to the quarterfinals. Last year, it was canceled due to the new coronavirus, and it was held for the first time in two years.

Kokushikan University won the third round against Tsukuba University at the end of the national team match from 2-2, although the second son of the late Olympic champion Tatsuru Saito, a hope of over 100 kilograms, was defeated. Last time, Nippon Sport Science University and Tenri University, which were in 3rd place, also entered the top 8.

For all the girls, International Pacific University and Teikyo University, which were in 3rd place last time, advanced to the final. International Pacific University will challenge the top for the first time in four tournaments, and Teikyo University for the first time in five tournaments.
