Obituary for the first half of the season (daily newspaper Junge Welt)

The “lower classes” do not want to write TSV Havelse out of the 3rd division yet – we love our underdogs – but in this obituary for the first half of the season we would like to express our concern that direct relegation is to be feared. The newcomer can adorn himself with a record: The first seven games were all lost, something that no third division team has ever achieved. Nevertheless, the group of “semi-professionals” was able to reduce the gap to the non-relegation places to eight points, not only because of the weakness of the others. In the last four away games, they even scored against aspirants for promotion like Osnabrück and Saarbrücken. And no, the bottom line does not come from the Havel region, but from Garbsen, near Hanover.

Co-promoted Viktoria Berlin also set a record in the first three match days: maximum points scoring with 10: 1 goals. The other clubs were warned, but Viktoria went after the initial euphoria …
