Legend reveals disgusting reason behind his beef with LeBron

LeBron James has built up some rivalries over time, but one of them still stands apart. His opponent has also recently revealed why they had such a relationship … and there is something to be revolted by his behavior!

It is a fact known to all, Paul Pierce and LeBron James fought some hellish battles between 2003 and 2017. The King scored over 1,000 points against the Celtics legend, who in turn has been an insurmountable obstacle for Cleveland on numerous occasions. Not really friends, they gave each other no respite as soon as they were face to face, giving rise to dantesque shows.

But in fact, why did this rivalry exist? Many assumed The Truth was responsible for it, during the King’s rookie year. The latter has also confirmed this theory recently. During an interview, he explained that it went back to a preparation game in 2003. The Chosen One had not even played a regular season game yet! Opposed to the Cavs with Boston, the Hall of Famer was then split with a gesture anything but class:

Paul Pierce: “I spat on his bench, that’s where it all started”

I’m glad social media isn’t there, because I spat on their bench. I probably would have been fined. I don’t know, me and LeBron were going back and forth, the bench was screaming at something. And I was looking at the bench, and I thought, “That’s what you’re on the bench for,” or something, and I spat on them.

I’m not sure I hit anyone, but I spat in that direction. And then it’s just kind of a chain of events – tempers got hot, the next thing I remember, we were in the hallway, we were ready to do battle. This is how it all started.

Indeed, it is not surprising that the atmosphere is always tense between the two men after that. Especially since with its lodger side, PP34 has done nothing to improve things. Nevertheless, he also allowed LBJ to progress in the face of adversity, being his nemesis during his early years. What offer us a duel of anthology years later, during the playoffs 2008. The perfect scene for such a confrontation:

Clearly, we can hardly salute the gesture of Paul Pierce. If the rivalry between him and the King was great to follow, the reasons for his creation are in no way an example to follow …
