Bako played two excellent matches in the center position against Slovakia (57-83) and Serbia (73-69). The 26-year-old Manresa player in Spain averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds.
Bako was very present against Serbia, especially in the second half. With a great alley-oop and a dunk “in traffic” he had a large part in the stunt victory of the Belgian basketball men.
It gave Bako a place in the starting five of the first two matchdays. In it he gets the company of de Turk Shane Larkin, Slovenian Jaka Blasic, Russian Andrey Zubkov and Frenchman Louis Labeyrie.
