Ibrahimovic about quarrel with Lukaku: “I still have a bone to pick with him” | Serie A

It was big news in Italy for weeks: the feud on and off the pitch between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku during the AC Milan-Inter clash in the Coppa Italia in January this year.

Both strikers only received a yellow card for it, but the incident resonated for a long time and was even immortalized in a mural in Milan.

Now Ibrahimovic is coming back to it and the Swedish striker from Milan seems to want to add fuel to the fire. He accuses Lukaku of having “a big ego” and claims that the Red Devil insulted him first. “I hit him at his weak spot and he lost control.”

Lukaku and Ibrahimovic were teammates at Manchester United and it wouldn’t have worked there either. With his statements, Ibrahimovic also makes it clear that as far as he is concerned, the hatchet is certainly not buried yet.

“I still have a bone to pick with him, so I hope to meet him again soon.” That is no longer so evident now that Lukaku has left Inter and Serie A for Chelsea. “There are things that have to be fought on the field. But I don’t hate anyone, let alone Lukaku.”
