The weekend of December 4 and 5, at the college gymnasium, the first stage of the regional badminton youth circuit took place, organized by the Volant des Costières, de Manduel, and the Olympic badminton club in Nîmes. This circuit brings together the best young people (8-16 years) of Occitania. Eleven departments are represented by eighty-three players including nine Gardois. A major event for the town which hosted the French UNSS Championship in 2020.
This edition was highlighted by the continuous training of four future certified League referees who were able to officiate in a large part of the matches played throughout the weekend.
As a chick, single lady: Ingrid Benoni Espinosa (Nîmes), 2nd; simple man, Raphaël Colin (Calvisson), 2nd.
As youngest, double lady: Ingrid Benoni Espinosa; mixed doubles, Emma Minguez and Nathan Michalak (Nîmes), 2nd.
Cadet, double man: place for Maxence Quet (Aigues-Vives), 1st.
