Houston, who remained on seven wins, saw his great streak come to an end on Friday at home against Milwaukee and a monstrous Giannis Antetokounmpo. No problem, however, for the Lakers and Phoenix, who left no chance for OKC and Boston. Victory also for Brooklyn, in Atlanta, thanks to a very good Kevin Durant once again.

The “Greek Freak” got the better of the Rockets. The Texans, who remained on seven wins in a row, saw their magnificent series end Friday on their floor, where Garrison Mathews (23 points) and Houston collided with a mountain named Giannis Antetokounmpo. Still gigantic (41 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 interceptions and 2 blocks which allowed him to become the best blocker in the history of the Wisconsin franchise), the Greek knocked out the locals, clearly beaten (123-114) by the defending champions. Beaten two days earlier in Miami, Milwaukee reacts immediately before going to a New York team on Sunday which lost again (90-87, only 9 points for Evan Fournier) on Friday in Toronto. Large victory also for the Lakers as for Phoenix. The day before against Memphis, LeBron James’ hundredth triple-double was insufficient to allow his team to win. Friday, on the floor of OKC, the “King” did not expand its collection in the field. On the other hand, in the absence of the other leader of the team Anthony Davis, his 33 points (6 rebounds and 6 assists also) were enough this time to win clearly against the Thunder (116-95) of French Theo Maledon (5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist).

Durant pulls out the muscles

No problem either in Arizona for Phoenix, who lined up a second victory by easily dominating Boston (111-90) despite Jayson Tatum’s 24 points. On the Suns’ side, Chris Paul (10 points, 12 assists) and JaVale McGee (21 points, 15 rebounds) confirmed their great form. Kevin Durant is too. The Brooklyn superstar demonstrated it again on the Atlanta floor, where he greatly contributed to bringing back the smile to the Nets, beaten in Houston in midweek. “KD” took out the muscles (literally and figuratively, since he also warmed up with the star opposite Trae Young, also author of 31 points) and compiled 31 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 counters. Brooklyn remains a strong leader in the East.
