The quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady, he confesses: he is always complaining to the referees.

During his weekly appearance on the show Let’s go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray On Monday, Nov. 1, the 44-year-old quarterback said he keeps complaining to umpires.

“I am always complaining to the referees… When they see that they choose them to direct in my games they have a hard time because they know that I am unbearable,” said Brady. So are the things”.

Although he spends his time talking to umpires, Brady says it has little effect on the decisions they make.

“Everybody scores penalties, the other team scores penalties, we score penalties,” Brady said. “They are the ones who decide, it’s a matter of seeing if they are going to score a penalty or not. Sometimes they do it and sometimes they don’t, but over the course of the season it becomes even ”.

The Buccaneers’ lack of discipline is concerning

Brady’s “complaints” to the umpires clearly didn’t help the Buccaneers during their most recent loss. The New Orleans Saints defeated the Buccaneers in week eight, 36-27.

One of the most notorious events of the game had to do with penalties. The Buccaneers committed a surprising 11 penalties per 99 yards. Meanwhile, the Saints only committed two penalties totaling ten yards.

The Buccaneers’ indiscipline on the field of play helped the team lose. Tampa Bay has committed at least seven penalties in all his matches this season except two.

That’s something that needs to change if the Buccaneers are to win the Super Bowl again – and it seems the 22-year veteran is well aware of that.

Instead of blaming the umpires for the second loss of the season, Brady is blaming himself.

“When you lose, you have to hold yourself accountable. It’s not the umpires’ fault, ”Brady said. It is because of our performance. It is about what needs to be improved, and that is the best way to digest a defeat ”.

Arians leaves the door open to a possible transfer of Ronald Jones

Ultimately, the Buccaneers could trade running back Ronald Jones. We have to receive an “extraordinary” offer, according to coach Bruce Arians.

Just two weeks ago Arians had ruled out trading the backup running back before the trade deadline – Nov. 2 at 4 PM ET – but Nov. 1 opened the door for a possible trade.

Via Jenna Laine, ESPN:

“It would have to be something very special, because I love the way he’s racing,” Arians said. Anything that happens to Leonardo and suddenly Rojo becomes the starter. And for me, they are a great combination. It would have to be extraordinary.

On October 20, Arians did not give rise to the rumor of a possible trade involving Jones due to his value as a backup to Leonard Fournette.

Via Rick Stroud, from The Tampa Bay Times:

“No, not at all,” Arians said of a possible Jones trade. “It’s a long season, and with what happened last year and with COVID still going on, we need to have enough talented running backs.”

Jones was the starting running back for the Buccaneers during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. However, due to a broken finger and having contracted COVID-19, Fournette was paved the way to become the starter during last year’s postseason. .

Fournette has not given up the job since.

Considering the Buccaneers’ situation with injuries to players in key positions this season – cornerbacks, receivers and tight ends – it would be a surprise to see the Buccaneers shed their fourth-year running back on the trade deadline.
