Titans release Adrian Peterson

Without Derrick Henry in the backfield Titans (absent with an injury that will sideline him for the entire season), Mike Vrabel sought out one of the most iconic running backs in the last 15 years. However, the experiment did not last long.

This Tuesday the Titans reported that have released running back Adrian Peterson after only three meetings in the organization. During his brief stint at Nissan Stadium, the Oklahoma graduate racked up 27 carries, 82 yards and a touchdown.

On a busy day in Nashville, Tennessee signed Dontrell Hilliard from its practice squad. The 26-year-old RB recorded 82 total yards (47 through the air, 35 rushing) in the week 11 loss to the Texans.

Given the multiple moves Tennessee made on its roster, body running backs for the game of the twelfth day of the tournament is made up of Hilliard, D’Onta Foreman y Jeremy McNichols.

Air reinforcements

The changes to the squad were not just limited to their running back rotation. The Titans reported the signing of veteran Golden Tate to the practice squad.

Tate, 33, who played in 2020 for the Giants (35 receptions, 388 yards, two touchdowns), he could be quickly promoted to Tennessee’s active roster, which is depleted. On one side, July jones he is on injured reserve and AJ Brown has had reduced activity due to hamstring and knee conditions.
