Four young judokas from Fermont took part in the 2021 Quebec Open, which was held in Montreal on November 13 and 14. Two of the participants also brought back medals, as the technical director of the Fermont Club and president of Judo Côte-Nord, Danny Bouchard, said:

The participants included Jean-David Bouchard (category U16M + 73kg), who returned to Fermont with a silver medal; William Power, (category U18M + 90kg), who won bronze; as well as William Roberge (U16M -60kg category) and Raphael Gagnon (U18M -55kg category) who delivered notable performances.
The Quebec Open marked the opening of the season in competition for the judokas of Fermont, who are expected to participate in several events this year, notably in Baie-Comeau, Port-Cartier and elsewhere in Quebec.
A first black belt for the Fermont Judo Club
Danny Bouchard also underlined the obtaining of the black belt of one of the students of the Club du Judo de Fermont, Jacob Lemieux, in the last weeks:

Other young people from the Judo Club will be eligible to obtain their black belt in the coming years, according to Mr. Bouchard.
