Since last year, the holidays have been a special moment for the children of SESSAD who are welcomed by Loïc for a handi-basketball course.
Indeed, for 3 days, it is not less than 6 children aged 7 to 15 years who, because of their handicap, were able to discover the joys of playing wheelchair basketball.
Some were shy at first, but after a few turns of the wheels, all reluctance had faded.
We were able to find Savannah with her broad smile and who did not hide her pleasure in finding the JB-Dumay room.
Loïc’s unfailing supervision allowed everyone to progress during these few sessions. The course ended with a meeting between the children and their parents / supervisors, and what is certain is that everyone enjoyed this moment.
Still in the guiding idea of “Basket pour Tous”, the club does everything it can to set up a youth handi-basketball section on Wednesday afternoons. The niche is there, the seats are ready, now we have to find interested children and available parents so that everything can get under way. Without a doubt, this will be a reality by the end of the season.
