PITTSBURGH, EU.- What could have been a papleón in the fourth quarter, turned into a victory suffered for the Steelers in the MNF of week 9 against the Bears. Thanks to a Boswell field goal “in extremis” Pittsburgh managed to prevail 27-29.
At the end of the third quarter, the Stelers had managed to contain Justin Fields and with a bit of luck thanks to the multiple yellow bandanas, the difference was 20-6 in favor of Pittsburgh.
A loose ball will leave the victory for the locals on a silver platter. A bad comeback led to a recovery for the Steelers. And it was crucial to finish with points to put the last nail in the coffin and turn off the Bears’ slight response.
However, the defense managed to hold back and some great action from the special teams ended up giving Pittsburgh a bucket of cold water. There was a fumble and DeAndre Houston-Carson moved into the end zone to close the gap to just one field goal.
Luckily for Tomlin, Boswell put up one more field goal to make the score 20-26.
