To make this project a reality, the actress had to undergo tough physical training and very intense fighting sessions that involved disciplines such as Ju-Jitsu, Judo, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing. All this in order to make her role as a mixed martial arts fighter credible. He has even said that broke two ribs while performing a scene with martial artist Valentina Shevchenko, his rival in fiction.

At the beginning of the filming of Wound, the sports professional avoided hitting her very hard for fear of seriously hurting her, but at her request Halle berry – who also held the position of director – had to take the fights to a much more real level and ended up leaving her with two broken ribs. Despite this, the protagonist continued with the filming and when they came to an end, she was able to recover from her injuries. “When we finished filming I told everyone and went to the hospital,” he recounted for the Jimmy Kimmel show.

HALLE BERRY’S HARDEST WORKOUT

At 55, Berry trained five hours a day for two years to project the image of a martial artist. In an interview with Reuters, he stated that he knew it was going to be a complicated job because of the physical demands of the role: “I knew that I would spend more time, more energy, more hours working on something than I had in my entire career. It turned out to be true. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done”.
