Contemporary Colleges are ready for the new season

Contemporary College Women, most of whom are students and graduates of Private Çağdaş Schools basketball The 2021-2022 season starts for the team. Playing in the Women’s Regional Basketball League, Çağdaş Kolejliler will face Ankara Yeni Sincan Sports Club in their first match on Saturday, 27 November. The match will start at 18:00 at Eskişehir Yenikent Martyr Anıl Gür Sports Hall. Contemporary College GSK, which is preparing to say “hello” to the new season with this match, made statements about the season at the press conference they held. To the meeting; Contemporary College Club President Assoc. Dr. Yavuz Tuna, Board Member Basketball Branch Manager Cengiz Hakan Aydın, Head Coach Burak Şen, Assistant Trainer Emrah Fidan and team players Semra Kazanç and Buse Tunçelli attended.

ESKISEHIR’S ONLY BASKETBALL TEAM PLAYING IN NATIONAL LEAGUES

Providing information about the founding purpose and activities of Çağdaş Kolejliler GSK, Club President Assoc. Dr. Yavuz Tuna, “Casual Kolejliler GSK, which was established as a social responsibility project; It continues its activities in order to increase the interest of girls and women in Eskişehir to basketball, to enable them to acquire lifelong sports habits, to prove that sports and academic success can go hand in hand, and to provide opportunities for every interested girl and woman to play basketball. Aiming that girls with characteristics and socio-economically disadvantaged groups receive qualified education and become successful businessmen as well as being successful athletes, Çağdaş Kolejliler GSK; It has 120 players from neighborhoods such as Emek, Gökmeydan, Yeşiltepe and Sarıcakaya in Eskişehir’s player pool.

NEW ATHLETES ARE RAISED THROUGH SCREENINGS AROUND ESKISEHIR

Cengiz Hakan Aydın, Member of the Board of Directors of Basketball Branch, stated that Çağdaş Kolejliler GSK not only trains athletes for the national team but also trains basketball coaches among its athletes. Aydın said, “As Contemporary Colleges GSK, we send players to audition for national teams every year. By scanning all over Eskişehir, we select and train potential basketball players. In addition to all these, we train basketball coaches among our own players.” Aydın added that they are working with strategic partners and volunteer managers in order to carry out all the activities of the club in a sustainable way.

Head Coach of Çağdaş Kolejliler Kasın Basketball Team, Burak Şen stated that the team, which has been in the Women’s Basketball Regional League for the last 6 years, is excited to start its fight in the Women’s Regional Basketball League in the 2021-2022 season.
