The municipal escoletas of Palma began the course yesterday, according to the City Council through the Institut Municipal de l’Esport (IME), with 1,218 registered children, aged from 5 to 12 years. In pavilions, educational centers and outdoor courts there will be different groups of basketball, chess, soccer, handball and skating; at the Rudy Fernández, for rhythmic gymnastics; in the pool Xavi Torres, for artistic swimming; in Son Moix there will be taekwondo, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, judo, soccer, artistic swimming and athletics; and in the Germans Escalas there will be soccer, judo, rhythm and fencing.
