This Sunday, May 5, the SOM Badminton teams were out for the last day of the departmental interclub championships.
Team 1 traveled to Marvejols for this last day. Before today’s matches, team 1 was in 4th place in the standings. In the morning, the SOM players faced the Saint-Affricains. The match ended in a tie 4 to 4. The match against Rodez took place in the afternoon. It’s a 5 to 3 victory for the Millavois. Unfortunately, the Ruthenois obtained the defensive bonus in this meeting and thus beat the Millavois to the post for 3rd place.
Team 2 played at home, at Puits-de-Calès, for the play-offs. Team 2 was first in pool B and therefore faced the second in pool qmA in the semi-final. Semi-final in hand for the Millavois, heading to the final against Rodez. The final ended in a victory for the Millavois who won division 3 of the Departmental Interclub Championship! Well done to them! This victory gives them the possibility of moving up to division 2 next season.
