This evening’s matches in Group I have been overshadowed by 2 incidents involving incendiary supporters. In England-Hungary, a racist incident is said to have been the basis, in Albania-Poland the match was stopped for a while after a rain of bottles from the home section.

The riot in England-Hungary occurred before the match. Police said a Hungarian fan had racially insulted a flight attendant, but when they tried to arrest the man, the dolls started dancing.

In the end it was just a bit of pushing, pulling and hitting (with or without the matrak) and the rest went down pretty quickly. In any case, the Hungarian fans are once again in a bad light, after they had not made a very good turn at the European Championship either.

The match itself ended in a draw, the first loss for England in a qualifying match at home in almost 10 years.

Due to England’s draw, Poland is back in the running for the direct World Cup ticket in group I. However, after the 0-1 win in Albania, it was mainly about the incident that caused the match to be stopped for almost fifteen minutes.

The Poles went to celebrate Swiderski’s goal a little too close to the home fans and had to pay for it with a shower of bottles that descended from the stands over the players.

Referee Hernandez called the players in to cool things down and it worked. The match was played out without incident, nothing changed about the result.
