In a long interview with PuntodeBreak, Fernando Verdasco looks back on his rich career. He remembers those great matches and in particular that famous semi-final against Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open in 2009.
Asked about the player who seems to him the strongest in BIG4, Fernando did not hesitate for a single second: “When Rafa is at 100% of his abilities, he forces you to put in the extra effort, mentally or physically ” explains the Spanish left-hander who specifies that he beat Djokovic (4/11), Murray (4/13), Rafa (3/17) but never Roger Federer (0/7): “In fact I only played it 7 times, if I had played it as many times as Nadal, I would have won it at least once”
