MAZATLÁN._ Young people Roger Esquer, José Carlos Vela, Achmed Chain and Ricardo Morales got their place in the semifinals of the Patrio Tennis Tournament 2021, organized by the Club Britania.
After a day of hard duels, the young tennis players managed to earn their place in the prelude to the grand final of the 14-year-old category of the singles modality.
In his last duel of the day, Ricardo Morales managed to beat Giovana Padilla with a resounding score of 8-1, in order to stay with the first place in his group and thus secure his ticket to the semifinal of the competition.
Exhibiting a high level of play behind the net, Morales put into practice his best techniques with the racket, which allowed him to keep Padilla’s attack at bay, who could do little to counter the rival offense.
Who also showed a great game and stayed at the top of his group to advance to the next round was the young Achmed Chain, because with a remarkable performance he beat Francisco Sandoval 8-4.
For his part, Roger Esquer earned a place in the semifinal by finishing in the qualifying round with the first place in his group, while José Carlos Vela advanced by being the best second place in the category.
In the 12 Years category competition, Emiliano Serna defeated Rodrigo Sánchez in an exciting match by a score of 8-5, to emerge as one of the favorites in this contest.
