„Krone“: Mr. Ilzer, we are sitting in the stands in the Merkur Arena. 20 years ago you sat here as a fan, cheering Sturm in the Champions League. On Thursday in Monaco you will sit on the bench as a storm coach in the Europa League. How emotional is that?
Christian Ilzer: That was a really great Sturm team back then. She inspired me – like so many in Austria. The games against Inter Milan, Real Madrid or Manchester are unforgettable. The magic triangle with Vastic, Haas and Reinmayr fascinated me. And anyway, the way Sturm tried to play against these top teams was nice to see as a fan in the stadium.
