Where will Isaiah Thomas play next season? Announced for a time to the Celtics and then to the Lakers, the 32-year-old leader was then tested by the Mavericks. But, one month from the start of the 2021/22 fiscal year and two weeks from the start of the “training camp”, “IT” has still not found a taker.
Obviously, time is running out for Isaiah Thomas, stroll from franchise to franchise for three years (Lakers, Nuggets, Wizards, Pelicans …) and seen for the last time in the NBA on the side of New Orleans, during April, on occasion a ten-day contract (7.7 points average, in three small games).
Therefore, one of the options for Isaiah Thomas to continue playing basketball is to consider leaving the United States. Particularly in Europe, where CSKA Moscow would have expressed interest for whoever finished 5th in the votes for the 2017 MVP trophy.
Problem: Former Celtics player denied rumor on Twitter, explaining that he was not planning to go abroad for the moment. An exodus to Russia could have made sense for Isaiah Thomas, however, given the recent amicable breach of the Moscow club’s contract with Mike James, who passed through the Nets in 2020/21.
The mystery therefore remains as to the next destination of the double All-Star (2016, 2017) …
