Best colophon impossible. The Valencia Women’s Basket closes the best season in its history alongside its fans, with long queues in the Alqueria to see the players up close and take photos with the League trophies, the Copa de la Reina and the Super Cup.
More than 500 fans of all ages came from 19:30 and for an hour and a half to a new event in which the entire staff took part, in which they signed autographs on the posters of champions and went take pictures with all the fans on the central court of the Alqueria del Basket. Many of them with the LF Endesa commemorative shirts and others with the blue of the Copa de la Reina won against Casademont Zaragoza.
There were even quite a few boys and girls from the orange quarry who also came right after training in the Alqueria in search of their autographs and photos with the players and the trophies.
An event that closes three days of celebrations in the city and that gives the exit signal to the holidays, with a pre-season that will start in mid-August but that will advance for those who play with the Spanish national team this summer, be it in the Olympic Games in Paris or in international competitions of lower categories.
Among them, Elena Buenavida, Alicia Flórez and Noa Morro, concentrated since next Saturday with the Spanish under-20 team and, in addition, under the orders of Rubén Burgos and Roberto Hernández, regulars with the national teams every summer. The transferred Claudia Contell, for her part, will also go to the concentration of the Spanish under-23 team.
