Tottenham knock on Chelsea’s door in search of defender

Tottenham Hotspur hopes to tempt Kurt Zouma to make a transfer to North London. The Chelsea defender rejected West Ham United earlier this transfer window, but Spurs hope to be able to persuade him.

That reports Sky Sports. Chelsea would not be unsympathetic to a departure from the physically strong Zouma and recently offered him as ‘change’ in a possible deal with Sevilla. The Blues wanted to bring Jules Koundé to Stamford Bridge, but they couldn’t.

Spurs are now hoping to get involved in the Zouma rumours. The Chelsea defender isn’t the only player manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad is looking at right now. Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic can also rejoice in the interest of the club from North London.

Zouma’s contract at Stamford Bridge will run until the summer of 2023 and the Frenchman seems happy to stay. Chelsea are asking about $30 million for Zouma, but the main problem for interested clubs is the defender’s high salary.
