FC Bayern showed no nakedness at the start of the DFB-Pokal 2021/22 and won a sovereign victory. The Munich team prevailed on Wednesday evening with 12-0 against the league club Bremer SV. Man of the match on Bayern’s side was Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting who scored a four-pack and two more goals has prepared.

Bayern have absolutely lived up to their role as favorites in the catch-up game against Bremer SV and, as expected, have clearly prevailed against the fifth division side. The Nagelsmann-Elf celebrated a 12-0 victory in the first round of the cup.

Nagelsmann rotates cheerfully

FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann had already announced before the game that he would spare numerous stars against Bremer SV. The 34-year-old started the rotary press at the start of the DFB Cup. Upamecano, Davies and Gnabry sat on the bench next to Robert Lewandowski, Leon Goretzka, Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman who had not traveled with them. Bayern presented themselves to almost 10,000 spectators in the rainy Weser Stadium from the start as the determining team and took the lead after just eight minutes thanks to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. In the 16th minute, Jamal Musiala increased to 2-0 after a nice interaction with Choupo-Moting. At the latest with the 3-0 in the 27th, through an own goal by Warm, the game was in fact already decided.

Choupo-Moting was again accurate in the final minutes of the first half and increased the score to 5-0 with his two goals in the 28th and 35th, making his three-pack perfect at the same time. With this result, it then went into the half-time break.

Bayern do not let up in the second half of the game

After the break, Nagelsmann brought three new players: Chris Richards (for Süle), Malik Tillman (for Müller) and Mickaël Cuisance (for Kimmich). However, the changes were not really noticeable in the flow of the game. The FCB pushed further on the goal of the Bremer and scored two quick hits. First, Joker met Tillmann (47th). Just under 120 seconds later, Musiala was back with the 7-0. In the 65th minute, Leroy Sane added himself to the list of goalscorers. Even if the goal to make it 8-0 was a cosmetic result, it will certainly do the much-scolded winger good.

Bremen had to finish the last 15 minutes with one man less after Ugo Nobile saw red because of an emergency brake. The FCB immediately took advantage of the majority: Cuisance scored the 9: 0 in the 80th. Choupo-Moting (82nd), Sarr (86th) and Tolisso (88th) scored three more goals in the final minutes.

For FC Bayern it will continue next Saturday (August 28th) in the Bundesliga, then Hertha BSC will be welcomed in the domestic Allianz Arena. The draw for the second round of the DFB-Pokal will take place one day later on August 29th in the ARD-Sportschau.
