Latvian U17 handball players also lose in the final group game in the B division of the European Championship

The Latvian women’s U17 handball team lost on Wednesday in the B division of the European Championship in Klaipeda in the fourth game in a row. Latvian handball players gave way to the Polish U17 national team with 25:44.

Among Latvian U17 handball players, Sandra Brikmane was the most productive with seven goals scored, but Sindija Siliņa scored six goals.

Olivia Shevchik scored six goals for the Polish team.

In the tournament table with four losses, Latvia takes the last place, but Poland with three wins in three games and six points ranks first. Iceland is in second place with four points in two games, but Belarus has two points in two battles and Turkey in three battles.

It has already been reported that in the first fight in Klaipeda, the Latvians with 23:35 admitted the superiority of the Icelandic team, but in the second with 21:39 they suffered a loss against their peers from Belarus. In the third game, the young Latvian handball players conceded to the Turkish national team with 20:36 (11:22).

The Latvian team is led by Vita Brikmane, assisted by Lāsma Mičule and physiotherapist Kārlis Rutkovskis.
