In a somewhat delicate situation at the moment, Kevin Love knows he can count on the support of his brothers in arms. When talking about them, however, the big man snubbed Kyrie Irving… which frankly didn’t bother LeBron James more than that!
Bad times for Kevin Love. While he thought he would redo the icing with Team USA after a difficult season in the NBA, the strong winger saw the experience turn into a nightmare. Not at the point physically, he only played a few minutes (and disappointed) before being removed from the final roster a few days before the Olympic Games, replaced by JaVale McGee.
As if that were not enough, the Cavs player had to undergo a public wave from Jerry Colangelo, boss of the American federation. Following the episode, the executive simply kicked Love, who obviously had to rely on the support of his relatives in the field if we are to rely on this tweet:

Obviously, the King is no more upset than that by the absence of Uncle Drew. Recall that the relationship between the two men has been tumultuous to say the least since Irving’s trade request in 2017. After several years of cold, Kyrie had ended up putting things down and apologizing to LeBron by phone … before starting to criticize him publicly.
James seems to have had enough of yo-yoing with his former colt, and it is now a cordial relationship at most that is fostered by the former magical duo. For example, the names mentioned by Love, they still have an active group conversation to this day, a sign of the unwavering bond that unites them.
By his behavior, Kyrie Irving seems to have clearly ostracized from the mythical team of 2016 which gleaned one of the most beautiful rings in history. And then, he can only blame himself …
