The coach of the Spanish handball team, Jordi Ribera, won the bronze medal this morning thanks to the 33-31 victory against Egypt. The medal, the first of a Girona in these Olympic Games, allows the Spanish team to return to the podium thirteen years after doing so in Beijing 2008. Two goals from Alex Dujsehbaev and captain Raúl Entrerríos, who is retiring, go be decisive in getting the bronze. In this way, Ribera adds today’s medal to the two gold medals in the last two Europeans (2018 and 2020) and the bronze of the last World Cup (2021).
