In signing, fine and sanctions against directors of the Colombian Federation for resale of ballots | Colombia selection

A setback suffered the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) in the midst of the scandal over the resale of tickets for the matches of the Colombian National Team in the 2018 Russia World Cup Qualifiers.

It is worth remembering that the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) imposed fines of 18,000 million pesos in the process for anticompetitive conduct against the FCF and its top hierarchies because, according to the ruling, they simulated a tender to set up a scheme that allowed the diversion of thousands of tickets to the black market.

Superintendent Andrés Barreto confirmed that 17 natural persons and three market agents were sanctioned “for having carried out or facilitated the anticompetitive conduct.”

The FCF was punished with a fine of $ 16,016’028,600 while the firm Ticket Ya must respond for $ 45’754,995.

It is worth saying that from the FCF the president Ramón Jesurún was sanctioned, with the payment of $ 304,617,885; Álvaro González Alzate, $ 46,467,135; Jorge Fernando Perdomo, $ 97’385,145; Juan Alejandro Hernández Hernández, $ 8,011,575; Claudio Javier Cogollo Merlano, $ 8,723,715; Elkin Enrique Arce Mena, $ 6,765,330; Andrés Tamayo, $ 10’147,995, and Rodrigo José Cobo Morales, $ 12’213,201.

Well, to avoid that millionaire payment and disciplinary punishments, the FCF had gone to the Superior Council of the Judiciary to request an investigation against those responsible for those fines against the former Superintendent Pablo Felipe Robledo and his successor, Andrés Barreto, and Juan Pablo Herrera, delegated superintendent for the protection of competition.

The court decided to declare the nullity of this process, with which the fines and administrative decisions remain firm.
