Andrea Dovizioso is now ready to return to the grid to compete again in the MotoGP World Championship, after only a few months as a spectator. The 35-year-old from Forlì will make his official return to the World Championship at Misano from 17 to 19 September, before completing the rest of the season with Yamaha Petronas alongside Valentino Rossi. Dovi, in the last stages of the championship, he will find his former teammate (in Ducati in 2019 and 2020) Danilo Petrucci as an opponent.
“I’m happy for Andrea, he’s back on the bike he wanted to ride with a real checkered move. I think I have to thank Viñales and his behavior, because if it wasn’t, I don’t think it would have happened. But now he’s back with Yamaha and I think he can go very well”Petrux commented on the news of the agreement between Dovizioso and Team Petronas.
Petrucci then commented on his Silverstone race, which ended in tenth place with a good comeback: “I am a little angry because I could have done more. It’s hard. If we lose three or four tenths on the straights per lap, it becomes six, seven or eight seconds at the end of the race. Too bad, we deserve something more.
