Barça players Cory Higgins, Nicolás Laprovittola, Nigel Hayes and Álex Abrines underwent a medical examination and joined the Barça team’s preseason on Monday, in the second week of work for Sarunas Jasikevicius’s men.
Abrines and Laprovittola had one more week of vacation than their teammates due to their participation in the Olympic Games, Higgins attended to a personal matter with the club’s permission and Hayes, for his part, formalized his signing for the Catalan team just 24 hours ago.
Both the Argentine base Laprovittola and the North American forward Hayes completed with the medical examination on Monday the last step they had left to be definitively linked to Barça.
The four players are already under the command of Sarunas Jasikevicius and will travel this Tuesday with the rest of their teammates to the pre-season concentration that will take place from August 24 to 31 in the Andorran town of Encamp.
There, with the incorporation of Laprovittola and Hayes, the four signings of Barça will coincide for the new season, since the other two, the center Sertac Sanli and the guard-guard Rokas Jokubaitis, started the preseason last Tuesday with the rest of the team .
Barça will play their first friendlies in the Pyrenean country, first against Morabanc Andorra, on August 26, and then against French Limoges, on August 30.
The Catalans will later play the Catalan League on September 4 and 5, which they will open against Joventut de Badalona, before participating on September 11 and 12 in the Endesa Super Cup.
